Winter is here. And as the temperature drops down, our body also goes through changes in numerous ways. It makes your body vulnerable to a number of diseases, viruses and bacteria, as well as a variety of skin and hair problems as well. So here are few tips to keep your skin healthy and glowing even during winter.
1. Wash in lukewarm water
You all love to take hot showers when the temperature is going down. But stop doing it….!!!!! Yes, you should for preventing your skin to lose essential oils. Instead use lukewarm water for bathing and washing hands/feet
2. Moisturize immediately afterwards
The second-most important thing you can do right after showering is moisturizing your skin with good quality moisturizers.

In winters we tend to drink a very low amount of water which eventually result for dry skin. Stay hydrated as much as you can even when you’re not feeling thirsty.

Consider using deep moisturizer creams on your feet, hands and elbows at night, then wear cotton gloves and socks to seal in the moisture until morning.
6. Exfoliate your skin at least twice a week
Find an exfoliating mask and use it on your face and your hands, as well as gently on your lips, then follow immediately with moisturizer.
7. Use DIY masks
Homemade hydrating masks can provide needed moisture in the winter months. Use natural moisturizing ingredients like honey, avocado, yogurt, olive and jojoba oils, almond oil, bananas, and aloe.
8. Choose skincare products wisely
If you think you can keep using the same old products you used for your skin in summers will be OK, then you’re wrong. Use mild skincare products.
9. Protect your skin
Do not forget to use sunscreen lotion before stepping out. Winter sun can be just as damaging as summer sun, so apply a safe option like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide to any exposed areas.
